The wife of former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek was found dead Monday morning in her Burleson home. LeAnne Novacek, 45, was dead in a bedroom of the home on Farm Road 1902 at 9.05 a.m.
A police official said the death appeared to have been caused by a self-inflicted gunshot.Jay Novacek played in the NFL with the St.Louis/Phoenix Cardinals and Cowboys. He helped win three Super Bowl titles and earned five Pro Bowls with the Cowboys from 1990-96 before a back injury forced him to retire on July 15, 1997.
