If you haven’t started Christmas shopping, you may be in luck – in terms of savings! Saturday, Dec. 18 is known as “Super Saturday.” Retailers are expecting stores to be just as busy as Black Friday.
The last Saturday before Christmas promises to bring lots of deals. Stores like JCPenney at Great Northern Mall are kicking off door buster sales by opening at 6:00 a.m.
Deep discounts are expected to be unveiled as soon as the doors open. The hot-ticket items are boots and jewelry. “If they spend $100, they get $20 back, so that’s really great, on top of the 50-60% we have on jewelry,” said JCPenney’s store manager, Blaine Wilson.
Deal or no deal, retailers are banking on last-minute shoppers to boost their bottom line. “(Saturday) is the best of the best. It’s going to be cold and crisp, it’s going to be a great day for us and the customers,” said Wilson.
Great Northern Mall will open at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 11:00 p.m. JCPenney will be open from 6:00 a.m. until midnight.
