Three Shot in French Quarter Hours Before Saints Go Marching

Less than 48 hours before the Saints go marching from the city’s convention center to the Superdome, three people were shot in the historic French Quarter during the post Super Bowl celebration.

Police say the victims, a man and two women, are all local residents. Their names were not released.

The shooting occurred at approximately 12 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Iberville and Bourbon Streets.

Free tickets for Saints parade – Saints Parade Route

City of New Orleans is offering free tickets for viewing stands at Lafayette Square for the Saints parade, according to a statement from Mayor C. Ray Nagin. 1,000 free tickets are available for fans on a first-come, first serve basis.

The parade featuring owners Tom Benson and Rita Benson LeBlanc, Saints players, team administration and a host of local marching bands will kick off at 5 p.m., and will roll from Poydras and LaSalle Streets to St. Charles Avenue with a stop at Gallier Hall, passing down Canal Street and ending on Convention Center Boulevard.”
