People magazine awarded Ryan Reynolds its hottest prize for 2010 on Wednesday. The 34 year old Canadian will follow in the footsteps of his fellow Hollywood hunks, including Johnny Depp, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Reynolds beat out “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm, singer Jon Bon Jovi, and fellow movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr., among others for the top prize this year.
Reynolds was modest about the prize, joking his family would make fun of him “for the rest of my life.”
The accolade comes shortly after his actress wife, Scarlett Johansson, was awarded GQ’s “Babe of the Year.”
The “Proposal” star’s chisled body and handsome looks earned him the star role in the upcoming sci-fi action thriller “Green Lantern.”
