Today is Guy Fawkes Day,which is an annual celebration mainly in Great Britain and historically marks the failed Gunpowder Plot of Nov. 5, 1605. because of the movie ‘V for Vendetta’ is now more well known and understood world wide. The movie also brought attention to a particular, and now often quoted, poem.
One of the taglines from the 2006 film V for Vendetta — “Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot” hasn’t been forgotten by fans today!
Natalie Portman’s V for Vendetta film told the story of an anarchist, V, who wore a Guy Fawkes a costume and tried to bring down a fascist government in the United Kingdom.
