Was recent KFC commercial racist? Kentucky Fried Chicken has created quite a stir with a recent Australian product commerical that many have dubbed racist, including the franchise itself. The Australian commercial certainly looks racist, not to mention it’s extremely awkward. It shows a bundle of colored people, mostly black, having a good time and playing music. In the middle of them, a white guy stands out like a sore thumb. Then he says “need a chicken when you are stuck in an awkward situation?”
Of course, the racism doesn’t really stand out in the first moments of the commercial. It’s hardly noticeable even with just a single white guy in a crowd of black people.
