Here we go. One of the great rivalries in college football is renewed as the Ohio State vs Michigan game for the 2009 season gets underway. It’s the regular season finale today in Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Although the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines have had very different seasons as far as records go, all that is thrown out the window when these two teams battle each other.
Ohio State has had a great season, already securing a Rose Bowl bid and a win today will put them in contention for a BCS bid. They have a 9 – 2 record, 6 – 1 in their division. On the other hand, Michigan has had a disappointing season, going 5 – 6, with a 1 – 6 record in the division. The Wolverines do have the strength of their great home team fans behind them, which is over 100,000 strong.
