Britney Spears has revealed plans to release a new album ” in March 2011. Spears used Twitter to make the announcement and Tweeted the following (unedited) message: “My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here’s something that I hope will make you smile… I’m almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!”
Swedish producer Shellback who worked with Pink on “Raise Your Glass,” collaborated with Dr. Luke and Max Martin on music for Spears. The producers are donating a guitar they used on the album to charity.
Spears has to date sold over 100 million records, and her last album sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide, earning the singer a GRAMMY AWARD nomination for the single ‘Womanizer’. The hit US show ‘Glee’ recently dedicated an entire episode to Spears, in which the pop-star made a cameo appearance.
Spears’ March 2011 release will be her first since 2008’s Circus, which was a success that revitalized her sagging, tabloid-stained, head-shaving career.
