Judgment Day is coming — The Bible guarantees it. That’s the message the president of Family Radio Worldwide is pushing and he’s spending a lot of money doing it. They are advertising across the country. There are more than fifty billboards in the Toledo area alone.
The president is a man named Harold Camping, who is not a minister or theologian. The organization teaches May 21, 2011 is exactly 7,000 years after the world was destroyed by water in Noah’s day.
Based on calculations, that date is when the world will be destroyed once again.
Some people are having trouble taking the warning seriously. That’s in part because the man behind this campaign also predicted the world would end back in 1994.
Clearly, that didn’t happen.
