A small earthquake hit Hawaii earlier today, which was reportedly felt by residents in regions like Honolulu and Lanai. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake’s magnitude was 3.6 and it struck at 2:12pm on Thursday, February 24, 2011. The temblor was centered 22 miles east-southeast of Honolulu, 11.8 miles deep. Initial reports put the quake at a 3.3 magnitude about 80 miles southeast of Honolulu with a depth of only 4.2 miles, but the USGS revised its initial report. No reports of damage or injuries have been reported and no tsunami warning was issued.
