The “Miss America”2011 contest is underway in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Guests this year are Chris Harrison, The Bachelor and Brooke Burke of Dancing with the Stars.
MISS OKLAHOMA AND MISS NEBRASKA WIN PRELIMINARY AWARDS AT 2011 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT
Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan was named Thursday night’s preliminary Talent winner for her piano performance of “White Water Chopped Sticks,” during the third night of competition of the 2011 Miss America Pageant presented by DSW at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Teresa will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Also in the spotlight was Miss Oklahoma Emoly West, who was the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in a black Swim ‘n Sport swimsuit. -Emoly will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Hosted by the Robin Leach, Miss America 2011 is set to be watched by a lot of people on Saturday, January 15, 2011.
