An armed man robbed a craps table at the Bellagio casino of about $1.5 million in chips before escaping on a motorcycle. Authorities believe he may have committed a similar crime in the area, less than a week ago. Police say the man involved in the Bellagio robbery stole chips ranging in value from $100 to $25,000.

They say he walked into the casino with a gun, at 3:50am, robbed a craps table and sped off into the night, wearing a jumpsuit and a bike helmet.Police believe the same suspect may have robbed the Las Vegas Suncoast Casino poker room cashier December 9. In that incident, a suspect wearing a similar helmet got away with about $20,000 in chips. Gordon Absher, spokesman for Bellagio owner MGM Resorts International, says casino chips aren’t the same as cash.
