“Amish Grace, How Forgiveness Transcended Tragedy” was based on the Amish School shooting in Pennsylvania. The shooting tragedy occured in October 2, 2006, six other girls were bound and critically wounded in the attack, which police said appeared to be a revenge killing for an unspecified incident that occurred when the gunman was a boy.
The authors of “Amish Grace: How Forgiveness Transcended Tragedy,” say they declined to work with the producers of a similarly named movie out of respect for the community affected by the shooting in Nickel Mines.
“Amish Grace” is airing Sunday.
