It’s exhausting being Lady Gaga: The singer collapsed before a planned performance at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., on Thursday night and was forced to cancel the show citing exhaustion as the reason.

The singer know for her elaborate stage shows has also postponed a planned concert for Jan. 18 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest, said a rep for the Mohegan Sun.

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26,” Lady Gaga Tweeted after having to call off the show in Indiana. “I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort… Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular – a result of exhaustion and dehydration. I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing.”

A rep for the singer did not return a request for comment.
